Dan Finch, Vice President
Dan Finch
Vice President
Dan joined the organization in 2003 and focuses on international markets and blending opportunities. Previously he attempted to teach college freshman how to love math although milk runs in his blood as his grandfather ran a dairy farm in the Midwest. When not globe trotting, he shuttles his wife and 2 young sons to camping spots across the Rocky Mountain West, as instructed. If he is allowed, he can be found on the ski slopes in the winter or golf course during the brief Montana summer.

Kymberly Lund, Trading Assistant
Kymberly Lund
Trading Assistant
Kym grew up in Miles City, MT, and attended Miles Community College before moving out to the big city of Missoula. She received her Bachelor's Degree, in Organizational Communication Studies, from The University of Montana in May of 2009 with - and we are not making this up - an emphasis in Rhetoric. We are not sure what that means, but we are pretty sure that she doesn't either. Kym joined The Milky Whey, Inc. in 2010 as a trading assistant, primarily for Brad. Kym is famously OCD, so when not busy making lists just for fun, she enjoys spending time with her family (especially her brother and sister), reading a good book, listening to music, hanging out with friends, and listening to a good comedian. She also (occasionally, of course) likes to relax with a delicious glass of her favorite wine: Mad Dog 20/20

Carla Messerly, Operations Manager
Carla Messerly
Operations Manager
Carla came to us from Malta, Montana, which probably explains why she keeps the cash flowing and the bills paid at as well as she does in her position as Operations Manager. She and her husband, Chad, have two boys who are involved in so many sports that Carla and Chad have no time to pursue outside interests of their own. Actually, that is not completely accurate: Chad actually has a mistress named Golf, and Carla is entirely too self-conscious to pursue this family game with her husband. When she does have time to herself, she enjoys reading, a glass of wine, bull riding, and cow-tipping, all of which are fairly common pursuits in Malta.

Curt Pijanowski, President/CEO
Curt Pijanowski
President/CEO
Curt is originally from New Castle, Delaware and is a proud Blue Hen, although he has adopted his hometown Montana Grizzlies. He has been in the dairy business for 20 years, founded The Milky Whey, Inc. in 1993, and TMW International, Inc. in 2004. He enjoys hunting, sports, reading, golf, and all the advantages that living in Montana brings. He is also the only known human being to grow up in the greater Philadelphia area and be a fan of both the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. Mostly, however, he is a homeboy and prefers to simply spend time with his wife, Cheri, and their three sons (and five dogs).

Sam Rowley, Domestic Trade
Sam Rowley
Domestic Trade
Sam manages domestic accounts, selling dairy powders to both the food and feed industry nationwide. In addition to dry dairy ingredients, he manages our cheese business. Sammy is a native of Montana and resides in Missoula with his wife Laurie and their new baby boy. In his free time, you can find Sam eating, fly fishing the local streams and rivers, or out enjoy a round of golf, his greatest passions. Mostly he will find any excuse to get outside and enjoy the beautiful Big Sky Country.

Steve Schmidt, Independent Contractor
Steve Schmidt
CFO/Independent Contractor
Steve is a native of Downers Grove, IL and graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in accounting and passed the CPA exam shortly thereafter. He has over thirty years of financial management experience at the Controller/CFO level and has been a private investor in several new enterprises. In 2000, Steve founded CFO Resources to provide contract chief financial officer services to companies based in the Missoula area. His clients include a plastics manufacturer, biotechnology firm, medical device manufacturer, log home builder, real estate development firm, computer software developer, and construction company. Steve has been working with The Milky Whey and TMW International for over five years. When not counting beans, Steve can be found hiking with his golden retriever or pounding out the miles on his bicycle to offset his voracious appetite for sweets.

BreAnna Simpson, Trading Assistant
BreAnna Simpson
Trading Assistant
BreAnna has worked for The Milky Whey, Inc. since 2007, and currently is tasked with keeping Curt organized, overseeing domestic freight, and serving our customers. Breezy, as she is affectionately nicknamed (though we are not sure why, or by whom), recently married former star Montana Grizzly tight end JaTon Simpson in August 2009. She has a young step-son and small dog named Parker. She loves to play sports, be outdoors, cook, travel, and of course, shopping.

Brandon Skarsten, International Customer Service
Brandon Skarsten
International Customer Service
Brandon has been with The Milky Whey since 2004. His responsibilities include customer service duties, international freight, international documentation and assisting with export sales. Brandon and his wife Sarah have one daughter with another one on the way as well as 2 dogs and a cat. When he is not jet-setting to his various milk modeling gigs, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, hiking, camping, hunting and fishing. We also expect to see him in an upcoming P90X infomercial, with his P90X partner-in-crime Sam.

Brad Tschida, Senior Advisor/Domestic Trade
Brad Tschida
Senior Advisor/Domestic Trade
Brad is a member of our domestic team, and handles dairy ingredients for national accounts including nonfat dry milk, milk proteins, buttermilk, whey powder / proteins, and butter. He is a Montana native, a graduate of the University of Montana, a former educator, coach, and now milkman. When not in the office, Brad enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing and spending time at Flathead Lake. He and his wife Leslee have four adult children and three grandchildren.

Joe Radtke, International Trade (and Peace Corps)
Joe Radtke
International Trade (currently on sabbatical in the Peace Corps)
Joe Radtke is a native of Montana and his job is to sell milk powders both domestically and internationally. Joe spent almost 7 years working for a local confectionery in operations and sales, and also received his MBA from the University of Montana. His career at The Milky Whey, Inc began when he met the owner/CEO on the soccer field while coaching his eldest son. When not struggling through injuries, Joe enjoys playing soccer and tennis, fly fishing, tracking and tagging black bears with his friend and wildlife biologist Ben, and the occasional poke at a golf ball. His family includes his wife, Robyn, and their four legged son, Shiko. However, Joe and Robyn will be living in Costa Rica until June 2012, at which point he will rejoin The Milky Whey, Inc.
